At East London Chiropractic, all MSK ultrasound examinations are performed by Dr. Will, our highly skilled MSK Sonographer, who specialises in musculoskeletal imaging and diagnostics.
What Happens During the Examination?
Preparation:
No special preparation is required. You may be asked to expose the area being examined.
Procedure:
A small amount of gel is applied to the skin, and a handheld device called a transducer moves over the area. The sound waves create real-time images on a screen.
Movement Assessment:
You may be asked to move the affected joint or muscle to assess its function dynamically.
A typical MSK ultrasound scan lasts 30 minutes, depending on the area being examined and the complexity of the condition.

The procedure is completely painless, safe and non-invasive.

Benefits:
Your results will be discussed immediately after the scan, and a detailed report will be provided to your referring clinician if necessary. Book Your MSK Ultrasound Today If you’re experiencing pain or mobility issues and need an accurate diagnosis.
